FORTIUS has designed and outline for a leadership development session that will enhance the students’ ability to build trust and deliver effective feedback. What exactly is feedback?
Why is feedback important?
What are characteristics of effective feedback?
What are the different types of feedback?
When should feedback be given?
What are common feedback traps to be aware of?
How can you make delivering feedback more effective and easier to give?
What is the connection between delivering effective feedback and having strong relationships?
Why is it important to build trust with internal colleagues and external clients and stakeholders?
What are the core components of the Trust Equation and how does the Equation work?

Participants will leave the session with, not only raised awareness of the topics, but they will also be equipped to implement the tools that are critical to enhance their leadership acumen immediately.

The workshop will be facilitated by Tom Murray, founder of Fortius Management. Tom is a certified executive coach whose approach draws upon a unique blend of three core experiences:

1) Two-time Olympic and seven-time U.S. National Team member in the sport of rowing, giving him a unique understanding of what it takes to strive for excellence, set stretch goals, thrive under pressure, and establish high performing teams and environments. As a full-time rowing coaching at Cornell University, Tom successfully helped athletes realize their full potential and work together to achieve a common goal.

2) Robust leadership and executive coaching training from his time at a UK-based performance development consultancy. In addition to establishing the firm’s North American office, Tom led the business development and finance functions. He designed development programs in areas of transformational leadership, coaching for performance and creating high-performing teams, each tailored to a broad base of clients.

3) Fifteen years of senior-level corporate experience, most recently at a top-5 U.S. bank, as Senior Vice President / Director of Organizational Change within the Strategic Services Department.
